Your Indepedence killed you

As I write these things alone,
I realise you were not a drone,
Your voice always on repeat,
Making your heart skip a beat,
Until one day you chose to walk.

Your Independence grew to strong,
Your fragile body frail and long gone.
As it fell softly to the ground,
Your body chipped and you screamed a sound.

Next thing you knew your in a bed,
So tidy and clean gran had said.
Then you were told you needed to go,
To the knife where you were said to be saved.
You took your last couple of breaths,
Until you walked into the cave.

Friends and Familiy all ran around,
After they had heard the sound.
Your body limp.
Your mind in a dream.

But I knew you weren’t in a dream you could hear me.

But they had cut your strand,
And your time was up.
Your body still cold,
Was taken away to the untold.

They cleaned and tided you.
They layed you down.
The casket opened,
You inside,
Two worlds had to collide.
Mine and yours.
The same but different.

The button was pressed by a stranger,
The reunion wasn’t majior.
Things had changed after that .
Christmas was together again,
And feuds were over by ten.
People sat in piece and harmony,
But don’t worry we are all still barmy.

We miss you,
But in heart we knew you had to go.
Your Independence cost your life,
When you were put under the knife.
